Director Susie Carmichael is determined to stage her most ambitious production yet, despite chaos swirling around her—from a chorus of overeager (and tone-deaf) singers who burst into song at the worst possible moments, to a stressed-out producer, Howie Finch, who’s juggling everything from ticket sales to a hopeless crush on Susie. Add in a vain leading man haunted by past failures, a villainous developer plotting to demolish the theater, a prop master whose creations teeter between disaster and genius, and a strict stage manager just trying to keep the whole ship afloat. When the troupe faces losing everything, unexpected heroics—and a little backstage romance— just might save the show, proving that in community theater, miracles happen when the spotlight is brightest.
